Etihad Airways is the second flag carrier airline of the United Arab Emirates. Its head office is in Khalifa City, Abu Dhabi, near Abu Dhabi International Airport. Etihad commenced operations in November 2003. It is the second-largest airline in the UAE after Emirates. The name Etihad is Arabic for ‘United’.
Launched in 2003, Eithad Airways is a renowned flag carrier of Abu Dhabi. In 15 years it has made its mark globally as a 5-star airline offering luxurious premium cabins and great customer service. It is well known for its cabin crew, seats, onboard services, and food & beverages.
Etihad Airways’ impressive Fleet
Etihad Airways operates a fleet of both narrow-body and widebody aircraft from four aircraft families Airbus A320 family, Airbus A350-1000, Boeing 777, and Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
Today the airline operates 206 aircraft to more than 150 destinations. Qatar Airways has one of the industry’s youngest fleets with an average aircraft age of five years.
