Portugal is more than the beautiful country to the southwest in the Iberian peninsula. It is also the archipelago of the Azores and it is the island of Madeira. Portugal itself, on the Iberian peninsula with Spain as a neighbor, has an exciting and varied landscape that alternates between high mountains and deep valleys with a wealth of olive groves, pine groves, open landscapes and cork woodland and prepared beaches especially south of the Algarve.In the Douro Valley up north in the elongated land from north to south you will find the wine districts, and in the city of Porto you can find the country’s famous port wine. Along the Atlantic coast, the kilometer-long golden beach spreads out, and here you find several charming towns and villages

The main cities and places are charming Lisbon, which is also a great destination. Another favorite is Porto and not least the Algarve coast to the south, which has the best climate in Portugal and famous beaches and golf courses.
